A SHOCKING TURN OF EVENTS AT MONACO GRAND PRIX: F1 STARS DISQUALIFIED FOR DELETED LAPS

In a jaw-dropping turn of events at the Monaco Grand Prix, a number of Formula 1 drivers had their lap times invalidated by the FIA, shaking up the results of the prestigious race. Despite rule changes implemented for the 2025 Monaco GP, the excitement that fans crave was still lacking on the iconic streets of Monte Carlo.

George Russell found himself in the spotlight as he faced the consequences of a controversial move during the race. The Brit opted to accept a penalty rather than give up a position to Alex Albon after cutting a corner at the Nouvelle Chicane to overtake. Russell was not alone in his plight, as other big names such as Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Kimi Antonelli, and Charles Leclerc also had laps deleted due to various infringements.

Exceeding track limits proved to be a common issue during the Monaco GP, with 10 drivers feeling the sting of having their lap times scrubbed. Despite the initial uproar, the FIA has confirmed that no further action will be taken against the drivers involved in the lap deletions.

The discontent among F1 stars extended beyond the track, with complaints about the race format and regulations. While Lando Norris celebrated his victory on the podium, drivers like Russell and Verstappen were vocal about their dissatisfaction with elements like the mandatory two-stop race strategy. Suggestions for adding ‘sprinklers’ or Mario Kart-esque features to spice up future races added fuel to the already fiery post-race discussions.

Amidst the chaos and complaints, Norris’s triumph injected new life into the drivers’ championship, narrowing the gap between him and teammate Oscar Piastri. With the season heating up, all eyes are now on the upcoming Spanish GP to see how the drama unfolds on the F1 circuit.
