Sergio Perez has been performing his duties at Red Bull since 2021. The Mexican driver, who has previously worked with Force India and Racing Point, believes that Red Bull has really made a great effort while he has been driving for them. Perez’s contract had ended at the end of 2020, but after his impressive victory in Sakhir from 20th place, Red Bull offered him a seat.

Perez is the longest-serving teammate at Red Bull. Previous drivers, such as , , and , all left the team after a short period of time. Currently, Perez is the second fastest driver on the F1 grid in 2024.

Discussing the strategy Perez has used to keep up with his Dutch teammate this year, Bernie Collins had the following to say. Despite recent questions about Perez’s potential, he remains calm and composed. He entered this season with the sole focus on his on-track performance. Perez genuinely believes that if he takes care of his performance, everything else will fall into place naturally.

During a recent conversation about the improvements made by him and Red Bull during the winter break, Sergio Perez jokingly referred to ‘s famous radio message in 2022. Unfortunately, despite being the second fastest driver on the grid last season, the 34-year-old driver had a turbulent journey. Perez only managed to score 285 points compared to Verstappen’s 575.

This season, Sergio Perez has had a better start and needs to deliver consistent performances to secure his place at Red Bull. The team has given him until the summer break, and so far he has managed to keep the team on his side. There are still 20 races left in the current 2024 F1 calendar.
