Ferrari is behind Red Bull by just 24 points in the Constructors’ Championship standings.

After Red Bull’s dominant performance in 2023, many expected the 2024 Formula 1 season to be easy for them. However, both McLaren and Ferrari have emerged as strong contenders for the world championship, surprising everyone.

The team based in Woking emerged victorious at the Miami Grand Prix, while Ferrari once again outperformed their rivals at the recent Monaco event, following their win in Melbourne. In contrast, Red Bull managed to accumulate only eight points.

Renowned F1 expert sees the title race for 2024 as wide open, considering the impressive performances of McLaren and Ferrari.

Despite only eight rounds completed in the current season, Red Bull has already lost three Grand Prix races. In the 2023 campaign, they failed only in one event, the Singapore Grand Prix.

Following the Monaco event, Ferrari is now just 24 points behind Red Bull in the Constructors’ Championship. Additionally, McLaren is quickly closing the gap. Brundle attributes Red Bull’s performance decline to internal conflicts within the team this year.

In Monaco, Verstappen finished in sixth place, while suffered a DNF (Did Not Finish).

Although the Red Bull Formula 1 team has faced challenges, their current advantage lies in leading both championships. However, to maintain their position, they must deliver exceptional performances starting from the next race in Canada. McLaren and Ferrari show no signs of slowing down in the upcoming stages.
