In a dramatic turn of events, the 2025 F1 championship standings have been shaken up after the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa! The race saw Oscar Piastri take the lead in the drivers’ championship, leaving his teammate Lando Norris in his dust.

The Belgian Grand Prix was nothing short of a rollercoaster, with the formation lap behind the safety car lasting over one-and-a-half hours due to rain. But once the race got underway, Piastri showcased his skills by overtaking Norris and securing the top spot.

As the race progressed, both drivers made strategic tire choices, with Piastri opting for mediums and Norris going for hards. In the end, Norris’s mistakes cost him the victory, allowing Piastri to extend his lead in the championship.

With this win, Piastri now sits at the top of the drivers’ standings with 266 points, leaving Norris trailing behind at 250. Max Verstappen’s fourth-place finish further solidified his position in third.

McLaren also had a reason to celebrate as Piastri’s victory helped them maintain their lead in the constructors’ championship with 516 points. Ferrari follows in second place with 248 points, setting the stage for an intense battle in the upcoming races.

Meanwhile, Racing Bulls moved closer to Stake in the standings, with just two points separating the two teams after Liam Lawson’s impressive eighth-place finish.

The 2025 F1 season is heating up, with unexpected twists and fierce competition keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Stay tuned for more thrilling races and intense rivalries as the championship race continues to unfold!
