Alpine’s Shocking Decision Sparks Outrage Among F1 Newcomers

In a shocking turn of events, Alpine’s abrupt dismissal of F1 rookie Jack Doohan has sent shockwaves through the racing world. The young driver was shown the door after just six races, a move that has not gone unnoticed by his peers in the sport.

Following a dismal performance at the Miami Grand Prix, Doohan was swiftly replaced by reserve driver Franco Colapinto, leaving many questioning the team’s decision-making process. The sudden axe has left Doohan disheartened, with fellow rookie Ollie Bearman voicing his support for the Australian driver.

Bearman, who himself faced challenges as a rookie, empathized with Doohan’s plight, labeling the treatment of his counterpart as “very unfair.” The Haas driver highlighted the immense pressure rookies face from the outset of their careers and condemned Alpine’s handling of the situation as “incredibly harsh.”

Former Williams racer Juan Pablo Montoya also joined the chorus of disapproval, criticizing Alpine’s actions as ‘unacceptable.’ With Colapinto now in the hot seat, he has five races to prove his worth and justify the team’s decision. However, the mid-season shake-up has left Alpine reeling, compounded by the recent resignation of team principal Oliver Oakes.

As Alpine navigates through the turmoil, eyes are on Colapinto to deliver results and silence the critics. The F1 world awaits eagerly to see how the rookie driver will fare in the remaining races of the season, amidst a backdrop of controversy and upheaval within the team.
