In the second of three consecutive rounds, Formula 1 heads to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for one of the most popular races of the year – the Mexican Grand Prix. It is the race that takes place at the highest altitude, as the circuit is 2,240 meters above sea level – posing unique challenges for the cars.

With Max Verstappen (Red Bull) already crowned champion, there are still records that the Dutchman can continue to break – such as the most number of wins or the most number of points in a single season. In the championship, there are still secondary positions up for grabs.

Starting with second place, currently held by Sergio Pérez (Red Bull). His fourth place finish in Austin gave him some more breathing room, especially with Lewis Hamilton’s (Mercedes) disqualification – who is now 39 points behind. Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) is fourth and still dreams of a final podium, but the third place is already 18 points away.

At the same time, the Spaniard has to worry about his compatriot from Ferrari, Carlos Sainz, who is 12 points behind. Sainz, in turn, has an equal margin over Lando Norris (McLaren) – who with a strong end to the season is now chasing the top five. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) is in seventh, a bit further behind in those ambitions – the fifth place is 20 points ahead of him.

With the usual close battles between McLaren, Mercedes, and Ferrari, it is expected that the Mexican round will have several points of interest on the track. Below, you can find the schedule (in Portuguese Continental time) for all the sessions.
