F1 movie races to No.1 on Apple TV: Brad Pitt’s thrilling ride captivates audiences worldwide

“F1” Movie Takes Apple TV by Storm: A Box Office Sensation and a Potential Sequel on the Horizon!

In an electrifying turn of events, the much-anticipated “F1” movie has skyrocketed to the pinnacle of the Apple TV streaming charts mere days after its release on December 12. Fans and subscribers alike are racing to catch this high-octane thrill ride, available for free to those with an Apple TV+ subscription.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by the legendary Jerry Bruckheimer, “F1” features the charismatic Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a nomadic driver who makes a dramatic return to the intense world of Formula 1. Joining forces with his former teammate, Rubén Cervantes—played brilliantly by Javier Bardem—Hayes embarks on a gripping journey with the struggling APXGP team. Alongside rookie driver Joshua Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris, they face the ultimate challenge: winning a race to save their team from an impending sale.

Filmed during the exhilarating weekends of the 2023 and 2024 F1 seasons, “F1” doesn’t just bring the adrenaline; it also includes appearances from real-life drivers, making the movie a genuine motorsport spectacle. And the stakes couldn’t be higher—seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton stepped in as an executive producer, adding his prestigious name to the project.

After a theatrical release that grossed an astounding $631.5 million globally, the film has captivated audiences and critics alike, boasting a staggering 97% approval rating from viewers and an impressive 82% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Its combination of heart-pounding action and relatable emotion has struck a chord with moviegoers, and the buzz has led to discussions about a potential sequel.

Jerry Bruckheimer recently revealed insights into the film’s reception during a promotional event in London. “We met with Lewis Hamilton a couple of weeks ago, and started talking about some ideas,” he shared. “After screening the film twice a night for the last three nights, I can tell you that when I ask the audience, ‘How many of you have not seen this movie?’ a staggering 80% of the hands shoot up! It’s incredible. Those who have seen it are coming back multiple times. Even the skeptics who claim, ‘Oh, it’s not my kind of movie,’ are in for a surprise. This is your kind of movie—emotional, fun, and perfect for a night out.”

With “F1” dominating the Apple TV charts and leaving audiences clamoring for more, it’s clear that this film is not just a fleeting success; it’s a cultural phenomenon. As fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter of Sonny Hayes’ journey, one thing is certain: the world of motorsport cinema has been forever changed.
