Red Bull Boss Christian Horner Slams Former Colleague Adrian Newey in Shocking Live Interview

In a jaw-dropping turn of events at the Monaco Grand Prix, Red Bull’s team principal, Christian Horner, did not hold back in expressing his feelings towards his former colleague, Adrian Newey. As the design genius took on a new role with Aston Martin, Horner couldn’t resist taking a dig at Newey’s new team colors, likening him to a “giant bogey” during a live interview with Sky Sports F1.

Newey, a legend in the Formula 1 world, recently joined Aston Martin after an illustrious career at Red Bull, where he secured multiple drivers’ championships and constructors’ titles. The 65-year-old is renowned for his car designing skills and is now focused on reviving Aston Martin’s fortunes to make them a contender for future championships.

However, Horner’s comments suggest that there might be some lingering bitterness over Newey’s departure from Red Bull in 2024. The timing of Newey’s exit coincided with a period of decline for the team, which had previously dominated the competition. Additionally, Red Bull faced challenges with other key members leaving the team and internal investigations into Horner’s conduct.

Despite the setbacks, Red Bull has managed to stay competitive in the 2025 season, largely thanks to the exceptional performance of driver Max Verstappen. However, the team appears to have slipped behind rivals McLaren and Mercedes, raising questions about the long-term impact of Newey’s departure on Red Bull’s performance.

As the Monaco Grand Prix unfolds, the tension between Horner and Newey adds an extra layer of drama to the already intense competition on the track. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
