Daniel Ricciardo may extend his time at RB thanks to the support of Christian Horner. As a result, an F1 expert suggests that Ricciardo’s continued presence at Red Bull is due to the support he receives from within the team.
While Tsunoda has outperformed Ricciardo since the beginning of the 2024 season, he is considering leaving RB because he has no chance of being promoted to Red Bull Racing. Despite his recent poor performances, Ricciardo would remain at RB. It is suggested that he is being “protected” by someone within the Red Bull family, ensuring that he is safe from being replaced by Tsunoda or any other driver in the near future.
Regarding Tsunoda’s chances of being promoted to Red Bull, it is believed that there is nothing he can do to secure a place on the team. Ricciardo is favored over the young Japanese driver due to his positive public relations image. Red Bull bosses simply do not consider Tsunoda talented enough to be promoted.
If Tsunoda were to leave the team, it is speculated that Liam Lawson could take his place at RB. Lawson had an impressive debut with the team in 2023 and is considered the best option after Tsunoda’s departure.
