Fernando Alonso took third place for Aston Martin, followed by Oscar Piastri from McLaren, Yuki Tsunoda in the RB, and George Russell in the Mercedes W15.
Valtteri Bottas finished the session in seventh place for Sauber, while Alex Albon encountered an issue with his Williams and had to stop with 20 minutes remaining.
Esteban Ocon from Alpine and Kevin Magnussen completed the timings, with several teams planning to change drivers during the afternoon session after the one-hour lunch break.
