Jamie Chadwick, a Williams Racing Development driver, recently shared her aspirations for the Indy NXT series. Chadwick, who achieved her first victory in the Indy Car feeder series at Road America, made history as the first woman to win on a street circuit in the series. Additionally, she became the first female driver in a decade to secure a podium finish at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As a three-time champion of the W Series, Chadwick is currently enjoying a successful second season and aims to enter the Indy Car. She expressed her satisfaction with the speed she has shown this year, although actual results have been elusive. However, her impressive climb from sixth to third place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been her best performance in Indy NXT so far. The transition from the W Series to Indy NXT has been a significant learning experience for Chadwick, especially in terms of the physical demands of the sport. She has been training more intensely during the offseason and has gained a deeper understanding of the car. Chadwick’s racing career was primarily based in Europe until she made the decision to compete in Indy NXT in America. This change presented its own challenges, including learning new tracks and racing styles. However, Chadwick has adapted to her new environment and is confident that she has found the right place for her career. She appreciates the clear path that Indy NXT offers for drivers. After winning the W Series title three years in a row, Chadwick faced difficulties in finding a seat in the European racing scene. The opportunity to race for Andretti Global in America provided her with a chance to showcase her skills. While Formula 1 remains her ultimate goal, the Indy Car is the next big target for the British driver. Chadwick has expressed her love for all forms of racing and her desire to pursue success in the Indy Car series.

Chadwick has a variety of goals, both on and off the track. Recently, she used her platform to generate additional opportunities for women in the world of motorsport.

Daytona Motorsport has unveiled a collaborative initiative with Chadwick aimed at increasing female participation in grassroots motorsport.

The Jamie Chadwick Series strives to address the limited number of female participants in the sport by offering a one-year program for young girls in the UK.

“I was extremely lucky to enter the world of motorsport, but there was still no established path for women to advance in the field.

“There are very few people like me in this industry and, as a young girl, it was quite an intimidating environment.

“What we have achieved together with Daytona is truly remarkable, with over 40 participants in each category and a plethora of registered people expressing interest.”

With support for young girls at the grassroots level of motorsport constantly increasing, Chadwick’s program serves to create more opportunities.

While the F1 Academy continues to make important strides on the global stage, Chadwick remains a source of inspiration for countless young aspiring individuals in the world of motorsport.
