Tudo sobre a contratação de Williams na Fórmula 1.

In a move signaling a major change for the Williams team, they have announced the hiring of six new technical leaders. Team principal James Vowles expressed his excitement over the most important addition, Matt Harman, who previously served as technical director at Alpine. Harman will assume the role of design director in September, as part of a reorganization that sees David Worner transition from design director to engineering director. This change in leadership comes after Alpine faced difficulties early in the season, including a failed load test. While some may question Harman’s appointment, Williams has confidence in his abilities and believes he will bring the right skills and mindset to the team.

Vowles acknowledges that Alpine’s failure was not solely the responsibility of one individual and believes Harman deserves credit for his past successes as well. The team values the right characteristics and approach in its employees and believes Harman possesses these qualities. Vowles also emphasizes the importance of his own experience and knowledge in the recruitment process.

In addition to Harman, Williams has also hired several other individuals from Alpine, as well as some from Red Bull, Mercedes, and Ferrari. However, Vowles clarifies that this is not the result of a thorough selection process by Pat Fry, who previously held a technical position at Alpine. Instead, it is a testament to Fry and Vowles’ reputation and leadership skills.

The team has made significant additions to its technical staff, including Fabrice Moncade as chief computer science engineer and Steve Winstanley as chief composite and structures engineer. These hires bring extensive experience and knowledge to the team, especially in areas such as data analysis and weight reduction.

A Williams is also focused on improving its technological operations and has appointed Sorin Cheran as Director of Information and Analytics. With his experience in artificial intelligence and innovation, Cheran will lead a transformation in how the team acquires, stores, indexes, and utilizes data.

Juan Molina, the new Chief Aerodynamicist, is another key addition to the team. He will be joined by 11 other recruits in the aerodynamics department as Williams seeks to strengthen its performance department.

Overall, these new hires represent a significant step in Williams’ quest to return to the front of the grid. The team is committed to improving in all areas and believes that the combined expertise and skills of its new technical leaders will help drive its success.
