Evans lamenta fim de semana decepcionante, chama calendário da FE de ‘pouco emocionante’

Formula E driver, Mitch Evans, from Jaguar TCS Racing, had a disappointing weekend in the recent race. Despite starting strong with pole position, Evans’ race was ruined after a collision with Jean-Eric Vergne, forcing him to pit for repairs. On Sunday, Evans encountered more issues when he stopped on track due to a brake problem. Evans explained that he had a “wire brake issue” that required a full power cycle to restart. This problem occurred multiple times throughout the weekend, also affecting his qualifying sessions and practices. Evans expressed frustration with the situation and acknowledged that his team needs to improve to compete with more efficient competitors, like Nissan.

In addition to his on-track difficulties, Evans also criticized the Formula E calendar. He referred to the possibility of the championship going to Silverstone in the future as “ludicrous.” Evans believes that the calendar could be improved overall, not just in terms of the specific location where he was racing. While Tokyo and other cool locations are on the schedule, Evans thinks there is room for more exciting and enjoyable tracks. He mentioned the potential of returning to Rome or creating more Formula E-specific tracks, but ultimately, the decisions about the calendar are in the hands of Formula E and the FIA. Evans expressed that some of the upcoming tracks, like Portland, Shanghai, and London, may not be as enjoyable as Monaco, which he considers the last good track of the year. He described Monaco as fitting well with the nature of the Formula E car, with ample overtaking opportunities and a good width.
