Fórmula E em Silverstone é considerado absurdo por Evans.

The Jaguar TCS Racing driver, Mitch Evans, did not hold back when asked about the concept of incorporating more permanent tracks in Formula E. At the Misano E-Prix, Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds, along with other drivers and team members, shared their thoughts on the idea exchanging ideas. While some drivers were diplomatic and philosophical, Evans firmly believes that this goes against the original principles of the FE championship. He especially expressed his disappointment with the rumored possibility of a future British stage held at Silverstone.

Evans emphasized the uniqueness of Formula E, highlighting the distinction it has from other championships due to its street tracks. He believes that the nature of its technology allows them to bring races to fans in city centers. Therefore, the idea of racing on tracks like Silverstone seems premature to him, as he believes that the cars are not yet ready for this type of circuit. Evans feels that the focus should be on maintaining the identity of the category, which was shaped by bringing championships to tracks in the heart of city centers.

Currently in sixth place in the Drivers’ Championship, Evans is still within reach of the top spot. A successful weekend could significantly boost his title aspirations. However, he acknowledges that the Jaguar car may not be the most competitive on the Misano track. Historically, the team has performed well on street circuits, but the longer tracks with longer corners at Misano may not suit his skills as much. Despite this, Evans remains optimistic and is determined to establish a solid foundation and a good setup. He recognizes that Porsche may have an advantage in terms of efficiency, but still believes his team can perform well. Although he admits to feeling less confident compared to a race in Rome, he is focused on starting the weekend positively and achieving a good result.
