The Q6 e-tron, Audi’s 100% electric SUV, has achieved the highest rating of five stars in the latest round of tests by Euro NCAP, the leading independent vehicle safety assessment program in Europe.
This model reinforces Audi’s push into electric mobility, achieving its best results in the child protection category with a score of 92%, while adult occupant protection scored 91%, and protection for vulnerable road users received a rating of 81%. In terms of assistance and safety systems, it obtained 80%.
It is worth noting that the Audi Q6 e-tron offers a wide range of features that significantly enhance daily driving and road safety for all road users.
A new feature for the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron is the adaptive driving assistant plus, which helps the driver accelerate, brake, maintain speed, and keep a set distance from the vehicle in front, as well as providing lane guidance, contributing to increased driving comfort, especially on long journeys.
The system uses various sensors to continuously monitor the surroundings of the vehicle. These include the radar sensor installed at the front of the vehicle, the front camera, and ultrasonic sensors.
In addition, the Q6 e-tron is equipped with lane departure warning, lane change alert, rear cross traffic assist, rear turn assist, traffic sign recognition, as well as speed limiter based on traffic signs, among others.
The Q6 e-tron is available in a base version, the Q6 e-tron quattro, with 388 hp and 436 Nm of maximum torque, while the SQ6 e-tron variant offers 517 hp. These figures allow the Q6 e-tron quattro to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h, while the more powerful SQ6 e-tron accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 230 km/h.
The third 100% electric SUV from Audi is equipped with a newly developed lithium-ion battery consisting of 12 modules, 180 prismatic cells, and a gross capacity of 100 kWh, allowing for a range of up to 625 km.
The battery allows for charging up to 270 kW in direct current, which equates to a recharge from 10 to 80% in just 21 minutes.
