Esteban Ocon Unveils True Feelings Towards Alpine’s Struggles After Turbulent Departure

Racing sensation Esteban Ocon has bared his soul, revealing his bittersweet emotions towards Alpine’s Formula 1 woes following his controversial exit from the team in 2024.

Ocon, who made a name for himself at Alpine by clinching victory at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, expressed his lack of delight in witnessing his former team falter on the track. Despite a tumultuous parting of ways, the French driver admitted that he does not take pleasure in Alpine’s current struggles in the championship standings.

The 28-year-old driver transitioned to Haas for the 2025 season, where he has found success in the competitive midfield, unlike his former team Alpine, which languishes at the bottom of the Constructors’ standings. Ocon’s departure from Alpine was shrouded in speculation and drama, with tensions between him and teammate Pierre Gasly reaching a breaking point after a clash during the Monaco Grand Prix.

While Ocon has found his footing at Haas, with a points tally double that of Alpine’s, he remains optimistic about Alpine’s potential to bounce back in the ongoing season. Despite the team facing leadership instability and driver changes, Ocon refuses to underestimate Alpine’s ability to compete in the midfield battle.

The French driver acknowledges Alpine’s past achievements, including a remarkable double-podium finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix last season, which propelled the team from ninth to eighth in the Constructors’ standings. Ocon believes that Alpine has the capacity to stage a comeback and rekindle their competitive spirit on the track.

With the season progressing, Ocon keeps a watchful eye on Alpine’s performance, recognizing that in the unpredictable world of Formula 1, fortunes can change in the blink of an eye. While Ocon’s journey with Alpine may have concluded on a sour note, he remains grateful for the memories and successes they shared, underscoring the special place the team holds in his heart.

As the Formula 1 season unfolds, all eyes are on Ocon and Alpine, waiting to see if they can defy the odds and emerge stronger from their respective challenges.
