Esteban Ocon has been plying his trade with the Alpine team since 2021. However, he recently announced that he will be leaving the team after five seasons to join the Haas F1 team from 2025 onwards. Ocon, who has been with Alpine since 2020, faced criticism earlier this year after a collision with his teammate during the Monaco Grand Prix. Despite this, he secured his first career win at the 2021 Hungarian GP. While Ocon moves to Haas, his teammate Pierre Gasly has decided to stay with Alpine after signing a contract extension in June.
Ocon expressed his excitement for the upcoming season and revealed that he will be reuniting with his first-ever race engineer. He aims to finish the ongoing campaign on a high note by scoring valuable points for Alpine in the remaining races. Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu, who played a crucial role in Ocon’s early days in Formula 1, acknowledged the Frenchman’s talent and looks forward to working with him in the future.
Komatsu took charge of the Haas team at the beginning of this season and has implemented significant changes. The team, based in Kannapolis, has already scored 27 points, surpassing their total from the entire 2023 season. In 2025, Ocon will be paired with F2 sensation [driver name], who will be making his F1 debut with Haas. Together, they will strive to elevate the team’s performance and aim for points and podium finishes.
