So if it’s causing problems within the team, I think that can limit his potential, and I never saw him as a candidate for a top team. At the beginning of the season, when Lewis [Hamilton] announced he was leaving Mercedes, people, including Esteban himself, were quick to link him to that possibility. I always thought there was no chance, absolutely no chance of him going to Mercedes, and there is a reason why he hasn’t been placed there for a long time.”
