Factory Aprilia MotoGP rider Aleix Espargaro and his teammate Lorenzo Savadori will not participate in the Dutch TT on Sunday in Assen, following their accidents in the qualifying race on Saturday. Espargaro crashed in the penultimate corner during the final laps of the qualifying race while attempting to overtake Fabio Di Giannantonio, resulting in a serious accident and a hand fracture. Initially, there were plans for Espargaro to attempt to ride in the warm-up session and evaluate his condition afterwards, but a last-minute decision was made for him to not participate in the warm-up and the race to expedite his recovery. He is expected to attempt to compete in the German Grand Prix next weekend. Savadori had a worse performance in his accident, suffering multiple vertebral fractures. While there is no risk of spinal damage, it may take a significant amount of time for him to regain physical fitness for racing. At the Dutch TT, Aprilia will be represented by Maverick Vinales, Miguel Oliveira, and Raul Fernandez.
