The average weekly price calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE) registered a decrease of 1.5% for gasoline and 1.3% for diesel, the most commonly used fuel in Portugal.
According to the ERSE report released this Tuesday, the efficient price recorded an update, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for regular gasoline by -3.3% and simple diesel by -2.7%”.
Therefore, “for the week of April 29 to May 5, the Efficient Price before taxes is €0.914 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.876 for simple diesel. After taxes, the Efficient Price stands at €1.835 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.623 for simple diesel”.
It is worth noting that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their respective maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic reserves and security of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component plus the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average Public Sale Prices announced on the signs, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, were 0.2 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 3.4 cents above in the case of simple diesel”.
In percentage terms, “95 unleaded gasoline was announced on the signs 0.1% above the Efficient Price and unleaded diesel was announced 2% above”, as reported by the ERSE report.
