The weekly report from the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), revealed on Monday, indicates that the efficient price of gasoline and diesel has increased compared to last week, by +1.7% for regular 95 gasoline and +3% for regular diesel.
According to the document from ERSE, the efficient price has been updated , “taking into account the weekly variation in international prices of regular 95 gasoline at +1.7% and regular diesel at +3.3% respectively”. Furthermore, ERSE adds that the efficient price was also driven by the “variation in the additional cost of incorporating biofuels in regular 95 gasoline at +27.1% and in regular diesel at +35.0%”.
Thus, for the week of October 7 to 13, “the Efficient Price before taxes is €0.759 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €0.797 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Efficient Price is €1.714 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €1.601 for regular diesel”.
ERSE reminds that the efficient price “is a weekly average price estimated by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: the prices of fuels in international reference markets and their respective shipping costs, primary logistics, which includes strategic and safety reserves of the National Oil System, additional costs with the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component plus the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Public Sale Prices announced on the billboards, and reported at the Single Energy Counter, were 1.7 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular 95 gasoline, and 5 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular 95 gasoline was announced on the billboards 1% above the Efficient Price, and regular diesel was announced 3.1% above”, according to the ERSE report.
