The weekly report from the Regulatory Entity for Energy Services (ERSE), released this Monday, indicates that the efficient price of gasoline and diesel has seen an adjustment compared to last week, with an increase of +0.6% for regular gasoline 95 and a decrease of -0.5% for regular diesel.
According to the ERSE document, the efficient price has been updated, “taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for regular gasoline 95 at -1.4% and for regular diesel at -4.3% respectively”.
Furthermore, the ERSE added that “the update of the CO2 emissions charge by 8.8% for both regular gasoline 95 and regular diesel” also contributes to the behavior of average prices for gasoline and diesel.
Thus, for the week of September 16 to 22, “the Efficient Price before taxes is €0.733 per liter for regular gasoline 95 and €0.746 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Efficient Price is €1.681 per liter for regular gasoline 95 and €1.538 for regular diesel”.
ERSE reminds us that the efficient price “is a weekly average price estimated by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: the prices of fuels in the international reference markets and their respective shipping costs, primary logistics, including in this portion the strategic and security reserves of the National Oil System, the additional costs associated with the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component plus the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Public Sale Prices announced at the kiosks, and reported at the Energy Single Counter, were 2.2 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of simple gasoline 95, and 5.4 cents above in the case of simple diesel”.
In percentage terms, “simple gasoline 95 was announced at the kiosks 1.3% above the Efficient Price and simple diesel was announced 3.4% above”, according to the ERSE report.
