The weekly report from the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), released this Monday, reveals that the average prices of gasoline and diesel recorded a decrease of 0.2% and 1% respectively last week.
According to the ERSE document, the efficient price has been updated, “taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for gasoline 95 and diesel, which were -0.7% and -1.5% respectively.”
Therefore, for the week of August 5th to 11th, “the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.828 per liter for gasoline 95 and €0.830 for diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente is €1.730 per liter for gasoline 95 and €1.567 for diesel.”
The ERSE reminds that the efficient price “is a weekly average price estimated by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes.”
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Public Sale Prices advertised on the billboards, and reported on the Single Energy Counter, were 2.7 cents per liter higher than the Efficient Price, for that week, in the case of regular gasoline 95, and 4.9 cents higher in the case of regular diesel.”.
In percentage terms, “regular gasoline 95 was advertised on the billboards 1.5% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was advertised 3% above,” according to the ERSE report.
