The average weekly price calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE) registered a 1.2% increase for gasoline and a 1.8% decrease for diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal.
According to the ERSE report, released this Monday, the efficient price experienced an update, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for regular gasoline by + 2.3% and for regular diesel by + 3.7%”.
Therefore, “for the week of April 8 to 14, the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.917 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.927 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente amounts to €1.839 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.685 for regular diesel”.
The efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their respective maritime freights, primary logistics including strategic reserves and security of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Public Sale Prices announced on the billboards, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, were 2.5 cents per liter above the Efficient Price, for that week, in the case of regular gasoline 95, and 3.5 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular gasoline 95 was announced on the billboards 1.4% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was announced 2% above”, as stated in the ERSE report.
