The Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels increased by 0.9% for gasoline compared to last week, while diesel saw an increase of 0.6%.
According to the weekly report from ERSE, the efficient price has been updated, “compared to last week, by +0.9% for gasoline and +0.6% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for regular gasoline by -2.1% and regular diesel by -1.2%”.
Thus, for the week of October 23 to 29, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.853 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.983 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente is €1.761 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.754 for regular diesel,” the ERSE report states.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freight, primary logistics (including strategic and security reserves of the National Oil System), additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, ERSE revealed that “the average of the Prices Announced to the Public on the signs, reported in the Single Energy Counter, was 6.5 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for regular gasoline that week, and 3.7 cents above for regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “95 unleaded gasoline was announced on the billboards 3.6% above the Efficient Price and unleaded diesel was 2.1% above,” according to the ERSE report.
