The weekly report from the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), revealed this Monday, states that the average prices of gasoline and diesel have fallen by 0.6% and 1.6%, respectively, compared to last week.
According to the ERSE document, the efficient price has been updated, “taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for regular 95 gasoline at -1.4% and regular diesel at -3.2% respectively”.
Thus, for the week of July 15th to 21st, “the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.849 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €0.858 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente is €1.756 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €1.601 for regular diesel”.
ERSE reminds that the efficient price “is a weekly average price estimated by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freight, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Oil System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Prices of Sale to the Public announced on the signs, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, were 3.1 cents per liter above the Preço Eficiente for that week, in the case of regular 95 gasoline, and 4.6 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “95 simple gasoline was announced on the billboards 1.7% above the Efficient Price and simple diesel was announced 2.7% above,” as reported by the ERSE report.
