The decision of the European Union to end combustion engines in 2035 will not undergo any changes.
The confirmation came now from the re-elected President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who made it clear, according to “Automotive News Europe”, that the European Union will only make a specific alteration that will allow the use of synthetic fuels.
It should be recalled that the end of combustion engines from 2035 is part of the ambitious European Green Deal approved in 2021, which establishes the goal of “reducing carbon dioxide emissions levels for new cars by 55% in 2030 and by 100% in 2035.”
