The Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels has decreased compared to last week, with gasoline down 1.5% and diesel down 1%.
According to the ERSE’s weekly report, the efficient price has been updated, “down 1.5% for gasoline and down 1% for diesel compared to last week, taking into account the weekly variation in international prices of regular 95 gasoline at -3.6% and regular diesel at -2.0%”.
Therefore, “for the week of November 20th to 26th, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.808 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €0.894 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente stands at €1.704 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €1.644 for regular diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their maritime freight, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component plus the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the Prices Advertised to the Public on the billboards, reported in the Energy Single Counter, was 5.8 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for regular 95 gasoline, and 5.9 cents above for regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular 95 gasoline was advertised on the billboards 3.2% above the Efficient Price, and regular diesel was 3.4% above”, according to the report.
