Tesla will build the new 100% electric entry-level model in the range at the factory in Berlin, Germany. The confirmation was made by Elon Musk, CEO of the American brand, during his visit to the European factory, which resumed production after the alleged sabotage it suffered in early March.
The unprecedented low-cost model, “will definitely come to Berlin in the long term” Musk revealed during his visit to the factory, according to the German business newspaper Handelsblatt.
However, the strongman of Tesla did not reveal details about the new model, despite the promised “Tesla for $25,000,” being seen as crucial to further increase sales of the American brand.
It is worth noting that the new Tesla model, a small crossover codenamed Redwood (the Model 2 designation is not confirmed), has already led the brand to request quotes from its suppliers, anticipating a production volume of around 10,000 vehicles per week.
