Elfyn Evans mantém esperanças no título: ‘Ainda não acabou’

Two rounds before the end of the World Rally Championship (WRC) season, Elfyn Evans is the only one who can prevent Kalle Rovanperä from becoming champion. He is in second place, behind his Toyota teammate, at the start of the Central European Rally.

Despite being 31 points behind, the British driver made it clear that he remains committed to the competition, even though the season is not over yet: ‘With two rounds to go, there is still a big gap to Kalle in the championship, but it’s not over yet and we know how quickly things can change in this game. We will try everything we can to have two strong rallies to finish the season and we will try to put pressure on.

Regarding the Central European rally, Evans highlighted the weather and the importance of having a well-tuned GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid: ‘This will be a new rally for everyone and with stages in three different countries, we need to try to have a setup that works everywhere. With any new rally, it’s difficult to assess how the stages will be just from videos, but the weather will definitely play a huge role in how dirty the roads get and how much grip is available’.
