Almost thirty municipalities have already shown interest in joining the ” Electric Streets ” project, by Mobi.E, of which 14 have already formalized their application.
The deadline for joining this project runs until May 30, and the initiative, with a budget of €2 million, aims to install charging stations for low-power electric vehicles (less than 7.4 kW) in residential areas without their own parking, especially streets where residential or commercial buildings predominate.
In this way, Mobi.E aims to raise awareness among municipalities about the crucial role they play in the transition to a more sustainable mobility, moving forward with applications for this pilot project.
“Mobi.E aims to open a new front of network coverage, creating experimental starting conditions to provide the growing number of electric vehicle users with charging solutions on public roads, in areas where private spaces are not an option,”, said Luís Barroso, President of Mobi.E.
