The 100% electric Mini Cooper achieved the highest rating of five stars in the latest round of tests by Euro NCAP, the leading independent vehicle safety assessment program in Europe.
The fully electric Mini achieved its best result in the adult occupant protection category with 89%, while in child protection it received a score of 87%, and for the protection of more vulnerable road users, the evaluation was 77%. In terms of assistance and safety systems, it obtained a score of 79%.
Moreover, the extensive standard equipment regarding driver assistance systems, which are relevant for safety, played a decisive role in the score achieved by the Mini Cooper E in these Euro NCAP tests.
“The results obtained by the Mini demonstrate how the automotive industry continues to promote the safety of models of all shapes and sizes, positively responding to the standards set by Euro NCAP”, said Aled Williams, program director at Euro NCAP.
