Dutch racer forecasts Sergio Perez’s fate in F1 2024, mentions ‘Red Bull banking on Daniel Ricciardo’s comeback’

Dutch driver Robin Frijns has discussed the potential for Sergio Perez to be substituted by Daniel Ricciardo at Red Bull as early as the summer of 2024.

Perez’s future is uncertain as his agreement with Red Bull is scheduled to end in 2024. The Mexican driver joined the team after losing his position at Racing Point, which later became Aston Martin Racing. Since partnering with Perez, Frijns has aided him in securing World Championship titles. However, rumors indicate that Red Bull may prefer to have Ricciardo take Perez’s spot.

Daniel Ricciardo previously achieved triumphs for Red Bull until 2018. In 2019, he departed from the team to join Renault for a substantial amount of money, making him one of the highest-paid drivers on the grid at that time. Nevertheless, the circumstances have since changed, and Ricciardo spent part of the previous season without a regular racing seat. After Nyck deVries was ousted due to poor performance, Ricciardo was enlisted by AlphaTauri and will be driving for their new team, Visa Cashapp Racing Bulls, in 2024.

According to Dutch racer and pundit Robin Frijns, Daniel Ricciardo is on the verge of a promising future as Red Bull is contemplating signing him for their campaign as early as this summer.

Throughout his ten-year career in Formula 1, Daniel Ricciardo has been a member of high-performing teams such as Red Bull and . However, his time with the Woking team was cut short due to unsatisfactory outcomes. Consequently, his contract was terminated prematurely, and he received a substantial compensation. Red Bull then took him on as a reserve driver before placing him in their sister team, AlphaTauri, as a regular racer.

In other news, Daniel Ricciardo is presently preparing for his new role as a V-CARB racer alongside his younger teammate, Yuki Tsunoda. However, with Perez’s contract set to expire, there is always the possibility that Red Bull may replace Perez with the experience of Ricciardo.
