Piloto holandês sugere que o contrato de Sergio Perez pode ser anulado se ele continuar com baixo desempenho em 2024.

The Dutch racing driver, Michael Bleekemolen, believes that Red Bull will not hesitate to terminate Sergio Perez’s contract if the 34-year-old driver does not improve. Perez had a disappointing performance in the recent race, finishing in the top 10 and earning only four points for the team. In contrast, his teammate emerged victorious and secured 25 points, giving Red Bull a significant advantage.

Bleekemolen expressed his opinion about the Mexican driver, stating that people are beginning to question the two-year contract extension for Perez. He believes that Red Bull may also be considering this, but pretending not to care. However, the Dutchman emphasized that winning the constructors’ championship is the team’s main priority due to the financial benefits it brings. Therefore, Checo’s performance is crucial not only for himself but also for the team’s success.

In addition, Bleekemolen commented that if Perez continues to underperform despite the extension of his contract, it could have negative consequences for him. Red Bull has the power to terminate his contract even before 2026. The Dutchman suggested that the team may be uncertain about how to handle Perez’s situation for the next racing season. He hinted that contracts in Formula 1 can be broken if the driver fails to meet performance expectations.

Speaking to the press, Michael Bleekemolen emphasized that Perez is not the right choice for Red Bull. He pointed out that Carlos Sainz could be a suitable option for the team, as the driver does not have a seat for 2025 yet. Although Sainz may not have the same performance as Verstappen, he is not far behind. This could benefit Red Bull, as they prefer Verstappen to be the lead driver and do not want his teammate to overshadow him.

Bleekemolen mentioned that drivers like Carlos Sainz would be a good option for Red Bull. He highlighted Sainz’s reliability and lack of accidents, which would be beneficial for the team. The 74-year-old Dutchman believes that Sainz could be a stable and effective addition to the team, contributing to their overall performance and race strategy.

In conclusion, Michael Bleekemolen believes that Red Bull could terminate Perez’s contract before 2026 and choose Carlos Sainz as his replacement to benefit the team. However, fans still have hope for a better performance from Sergio Perez in the upcoming races, where he can showcase his skills and prove his worth.
