Dunlop conquista sua 28ª vitória no Isle of Man TT, um feito verdadeiramente excepcional.

In the last Isle of Man TT race, Michael Dunlop once again added to his impressive record by securing his third victory of the 2024 event. This win also marks his sixth consecutive triumph in the middleweight class, further solidifying his position as one of the greatest riders in TT history. Dunlop managed to maintain a comfortable lead throughout the race, while Dean Harrison and Davey Todd battled for second place.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the race had to be rescheduled and shortened. Originally planned for four laps, it was reduced to three and eventually to just two. This change in format normally does not favor Dunlop’s slower start, but he made the most of the wet conditions left by the rain. Despite encountering a minor issue on the first lap, Dunlop’s exceptional riding skills allowed him to overcome any obstacles and secure the victory.

Reflecting on the race, Dunlop acknowledged the challenging conditions, stating: “It was a bit windy and I had a small hiccup on the first lap. Not sure if it was the wind, a wet spot on the track, or an issue with the bike’s fork pressure. Either way, I couldn’t push as hard as I wanted because I wasn’t completely confident. However, the bike performed brilliantly and I’m thrilled to be able to compete with factory teams using my private bike.”

While Harrison and Todd battled for second place, in the end, it was Harrison who secured the position, finishing four seconds behind Dunlop. Todd, on the other hand, finished two seconds behind Harrison on his Ducati. As the event organizers strive to complete as many races as possible on the final day, Dunlop will soon be back on track for the second Supertwin TT, followed by the highly anticipated Senior TT, which will cover four laps of the challenging 37.73-mile course.
