After the DS 4, the DS 3 and DS 7 models now adopt the new Pallas and Étoile versions. The new designations aim to provide greater clarity in highlighting the main characteristics of each version, rooted in a legacy consistent with the brand.
In this way, inspired by the distinction Palace, attributed to the most luxurious five-star hotels, the name Pallas is a historical specification from DS’s past, introduced in 1964. It is distinguished by an enormous attention to detail and continues to be a historical reference signature of DS, with comprehensive equipment perfectly adapted to each of the different segments of DS Automobiles models.
On the other hand, the Étoile equipment level, positioned at the top of the range, represents another designation closely linked to Parisian life. It is a symbol of Place Charles-de-Gaulle – formerly known as Place de l’Étoile – in the middle of which the Arc de Triomphe stands, at the top of Avenue des Champs-Élysées, with its arteries forming a star when viewed from above.
Étoile also reflects the supreme distinction attributed to dancers in the hierarchy of the Paris Opera ballet since the 19th century. The art, combined with architectural creativity, excellence, and a spirit of high-quality competence, is conveyed through the interiors of this version, which are lined with Alcantara or Nappa Leather.
All versions of the DS 3 feature the same signature, with a front characterized by the DS Wings in Gloss Black with chrome details, emblems, and logos, as well as black wheel centers. The exterior difference between the two equipment levels consists of the 17’’ Dublin alloy wheels in the Pallas version, or optionally the 18” Nice wheels. The DS3 Étoile, on the other hand, features 18” Nice alloy wheels or optional 18” Toulouse wheels for the E-Tense 100% electric version.
Inside, the DS 3 Pallas adopts the style of the original DS Pallas version, with an interior in Silicone Perruzi fabric and DS Black Basalt Canvas, as well as an option in Black Basalt grained leather.
On its part, the DS 3 Étoile features an interior made of Basalto fabric with Alcantara and an option in Nappa Criollo Brown leather with electric seats. Additionally, the top-of-the-line version of the DS3 also offers a Focal Electra sound system option, a Total Tech package (Level 2 semi-autonomous driving with DS Drive Assist, head-up display, DS Matrix LED Vision headlights, and wireless smartphone charging), as well as the Range Pack for the fully electric E-Tense version (heat pump and 11 kW three-phase onboard charger).
DS7 range adds exclusive Performance version
To keep pace with the electrification acceleration of DS Automobiles, the plug-in hybrid versions are changing their designations. Thus, the E-Tense 225, 4×4 300, and E 4×4 360 versions will now be called Plug-in Hybrid 225, AWD 300, and AWD 360.
All DS 7 models now come standard with the Black Pack and door handles in the body color. The E-Tense E badges are removed from the plug-in hybrid versions, and new badges are introduced on the hood, depending on the equipment version.
The DS 7 Pallas is offered with Deep Black Alcantara upholstery and an option for DS Basalt Black Canvas. From this first level of equipment, the DS 7 Pallas is packed with features, including aluminum pedals and heated front seats. In turn, the interior of the DS 7 Étoile features Nappa Black Basalt leather or Nappa Pearl Gray leather.
Just like in the DS 3, packs are offered for each equipment version: Comfort Pack with a powered tailgate and hands-free access, extended dual-zone automatic climate control, Hi-Fi Focal Electra system, and BRM R180 watch; in the Pallas, the Tech Pack includes an alarm, Level 2 semi-autonomous driving with DS Drive Assist, active DS Scan suspension controlled by a camera in the Plug-In Hybrid 225, 360 VISION camera system, wireless smartphone charging, and two additional USB ports in the front.
In the ÉTOILE version, the Absolute Comfort Pack includes ventilated front seats with massage, extended dual-zone automatic climate control, and the Hi-Fi Focal Electra system. The Absolute Tech Pack includes wireless smartphone charging, two additional USB-C ports at the front, DS Night Vision, DS Active Scan Suspension with camera-controlled damping, and 360 Vision camera systems with alarm. Both equipment levels also offer a 7.4 kW onboard charger with a Mode 3 charging cable.
The DS7 range is further complemented by a Performance version, available only in the Plug-In Hybrid AWD 360 variant, which is based on the top-of-the-line Étoile equipment level, adding a DS Performance badge, DS Sparkling Black logo, DS Wings, roof rails, and window trim in Gloss Black, Brooklyn 21” wheels with Gloss Black centers, or optionally, New York 21” wheels, and a new AWD logo on the rear. The interior trims are available in two options: Black Basalt Nappa Leather or Pearl Grey Nappa Leather.
As standard, this version offers extended dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charger, two USB-C ports, and Vision 360 camera systems. Optional packages include Total Comfort and Total Tech, as well as the Charging Pack (7.4 kW onboard charger/mode 3 charging cable), similar to the Étoile equipment level.
