DRIVING IN CYBERPUNK 2077 JUST GOT BETTER

Update 2.11: Major Improvements to Driving in Cyberpunk 2077

In the latest update for Cyberpunk 2077, players can expect significant improvements to the driving experience. Among the many gameplay refinements, Update 2.11 focuses heavily on enhancing the driving mechanics that fans have long been waiting for.

One of the most frustrating bugs that plagued players was related to vehicles purchased on the in-game Autofixer website. Thankfully, this issue has been resolved, and players will no longer encounter situations where their purchased vehicles fail to appear in their owned car list despite the money being deducted.

Another crucial graphical detail that has been fixed is the tire tracks. Previously, the tire tracks did not accurately match the contact patch of the equipped tires. However, this has been rectified, eliminating any fake marks left behind by vehicles like the Mustang Hoonicorn, which had machine guns attached to its front sides.

Furthermore, the suspension of both regular cars and motorcycles has been appropriately adjusted. Players will now notice a more realistic behavior when driving over curbs or applying the brakes. Additionally, certain cars and trucks will now land more realistically after performing big jumps.

The Drive Model simulation has also received an enhancement with the introduction of Brake Torque Vectoring. This feature helps reduce understeer on rear- and mid-engine cars with front-wheel drive (FWD).

Numerous models have undergone tuning improvements in this update. Some of the vehicles that have been fine-tuned include the Mizutani Hozuki MH1, MH2, and “Hoseki,” Villefort Deleon V400, V410 Coupe and “Vindicator,” Thorton Colby CST40, Mahir Supron FS3-T, Chevillon Centurion 1000, and the Quadra Type 66 “Hoon.”

Drifting mechanics have also been improved, particularly for all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicles. AWD cars now apply power through their front differentials more smoothly when exiting burnout mode-induced drifts. Additionally, the Dynamic Stability Management has been refined to provide a smoother experience after performing a burnout mode drift.

Overall, this patch has greatly enhanced the driving experience in Cyberpunk 2077. It is unfortunate that these improvements were not implemented from the game’s initial release due to mismanagement. However, these updates contribute to the immersive visual experience that the game aims to provide.

The attention to detail, such as accurately depicting the behavior of different-sized cars during high-speed turns, adds to the high-fidelity visuals that Cyberpunk 2077 offers. These improvements may seem minor individually, but when combined, they greatly enhance the overall immersion of the game.

While players can look forward to future updates, including the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 “2,” it is important to note that its release date is still far off. CD Projekt RED must first deliver the next installment in the Witcher series before fans can expect the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
