Drag Racing History Made: Kalitta Shatters E.T. Record, Force Hits Unprecedented 341 MPH

Incredible Drag Racing Records Shattered: Kalitta Dominates with E.T. Record, Force Hits Unbelievable 341 MPH Speed

The drag racing world was set on fire as records tumbled at the 15th annual American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals. Top Fuel’s Doug Kalitta and Brittany Force delivered jaw-dropping performances at zMAX Dragway, leaving fans in awe of their incredible speed and precision.

Kalitta set a new track E.T. record at zMAX Dragway with a mind-blowing run of 3.646 seconds at 333.74 mph, securing the provisional No. 1 qualifier spot. Not to be outdone, Force made history by clocking a staggering 341.58 mph on a run of 3.667 seconds, marking the first-ever 340-mph run in Top Fuel history. The crowd was on their feet as Force surpassed her own speed record, previously set at 338.94 mph.

Both drivers showcased exceptional skill and determination, pushing the limits of speed and performance in their 11,000-horsepower dragsters. Kalitta expressed his excitement, acknowledging the incredible track conditions and his team’s hard work, while Force exuded joy and pride in her record-breaking achievement.

In the Funny Car category, Paul Lee stole the show with a standout run of 3.829 at 328.54 mph, claiming the No. 1 position under the lights. Lee’s remarkable performance highlighted his team’s stellar potential and marked a significant improvement from previous races. The competition heated up as reigning world champion Austin Prock and Daniel Wilkerson vied for top spots with impressive runs of their own.

Pro Stock saw Dallas Glenn and Greg Anderson continuing their dominant streak, both delivering identical 6.502 performances. Glenn’s speed edged out Anderson for the No. 1 spot, setting the stage for a thrilling battle for supremacy. The Pro Stock Motorcycle category also saw defending champion Gaige Herrera returning to form with a blistering run of 6.680 at 201.64 mph, securing the provisional No. 1 spot and setting the stage for an intense showdown.

As the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season unfolds, fans can expect more record-breaking performances, fierce competition, and adrenaline-pumping action on the drag strip.
