With a shooting percentage of 46.9% from the field and 35.1% from beyond the arc, Mitchell’s contributions are not just empty numbers. The Cavaliers currently hold the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 31-16 record and a five-game winning streak. Mitchell’s impact on the team cannot be ignored, and he should be considered for the MVP race. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Mitchell will receive the recognition he deserves. This snub is not new to him, as he was also overlooked for a starting position in the 2024 NBA All-Star game despite his exceptional season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
