Dongfeng Motor Corporation, a leader and pioneer in R&D in the automotive sector and one of the largest automotive groups in China, will arrive in Europe by the end of the year.
The company, which is part of the portfolio of Chinese electric vehicle brands represented by Salvador Caetano in Portugal and Spain, will take advantage of its debut at the Turin Motor Show in Italy, which starts this Friday and runs until the 15th, to introduce the Dongfeng Box, a utility vehicle measuring 4.03 meters in length, 1.81 meters in width, and 1.57 meters in height. According to the Chinese company, it is the first model built on the new Dongfeng Quantum Architecture S3 platform.
The new model is equipped with an electric motor capable of generating 95 hp of power and a maximum torque of 160 Nm, allowing for a top speed of 140 km/h.
The electric motor is powered by a battery whose capacity the brand did not specify, but it revealed that it ensures a range of up to 430 km.
Recall that recently Dongfeng Motor started negotiations with the Italian government for the construction of a production unit for the Chinese brand in Italy, and its presence at the Turin Motor Show is another step in the brand’s international expansion.
