Dodgers Players Brave Cold Waters for Charity in Manhattan Beach
Dodgers players, celebrities, and locals came together in Manhattan Beach for a charity event organized by Chris Taylor’s CT3 Foundation. The event, known as the CT3 Foundation Charity Polar Plunge, involved participants taking a dip in the chilly Pacific coast waters to support a good cause.
The atmosphere at Sunday’s event was lively and community-oriented. Local vendors, including coffee roasters and bakeries, set up shop on the beach, providing sustenance for the brave South Bay residents ready to take the plunge.
One of the highlights of the day was the presence of Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow, who recently joined the team from the Tampa Bay Rays. With his impressive height and striking resemblance to Cillian Murphy, Glasnow attracted attention from both dads and admirers. In fact, one lady even asked him to take a photo of her and her husband.
The event was hosted by Chris Taylor and Mario Lopez, known for his role in “Saved By The Bell.” Taylor brought his signature charisma, wearing orange floaties on his arms and a shirt featuring Wendy Peffercorn. His resemblance to Joe Flacco was also noted.
Throughout the morning, various members of the Dodgers organization made appearances, including Freddie Freeman, Jason Heyward, Brusdar Graterol, Gavin Lux, Max Muncy, Bobby Miller, Alex Vesia, and manager Dave Roberts.
Despite the challenging weather conditions, with strong winds and rough waves, participants eagerly prepared themselves for the plunge. With a countdown from 15, the crowd anxiously awaited the moment to jump into the ocean, all in the name of charity.
The event was a testament to the community spirit and dedication of the Dodgers players, fans, and volunteers who braved the cold waters for a worthy cause.
Dodgers Star Mookie Betts Makes a Splash at Exclusive Pool Party
In a surprising turn of events, Dodgers sensation Mookie Betts made a covert entrance into an extravagant pool party. Accompanied by his entourage, Betts swiftly joined the festivities before making a hasty exit to the nearby Strand House restaurant. The excitement was palpable as fans eagerly awaited the appearance of another star, Shohei Ohtani. However, to their disappointment, Ohtani was nowhere to be found.
This weekend was already brimming with excitement for Dodgers fans, as the annual fanfest unfolded at Chavez Ravine on Saturday afternoon. The sight of so many stars gathered in one place only fueled the anticipation for the upcoming season, which undoubtedly carries the weight of championship aspirations in 2024-25.
Despite an impressive 100-win season last year, the Dodgers suffered an early exit from the postseason at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Will this be the year they break their cold streak and finally achieve postseason glory in 2024-25?
On a side note, it seems that not everyone was thrilled with the atmosphere at the entrance tent. The CT3 Foundation, established in 2020, aims to make a positive impact by raising funds to support families in the community. Through partnerships with various organizations, the foundation has already made a significant difference in both Los Angeles and Chris’ hometown of Virginia Beach.
