The next Monday, January 1, 2024, is expected to bring a drop in the price of diesel, the most consumed fuel in Portugal, thus interrupting the increase recorded in the last week of 2023.
According to data from “ECO”, diesel is expected to decrease by 3 cents per liter, settling at an average price of €1.544. On the other hand, regular 95 gasoline is not expected to increase and will remain at an average price of €1.646 per liter.
It should be noted that these prices already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the maintenance of temporary tax measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices.
