Flavio Briatore, the controversial and colorful Executive Director of Alpine F1, may have inadvertently unveiled the team’s 2025 Formula 1 livery in a now-deleted Instagram video. While the team’s official launch is just days away, fans were quick to dissect the clip, which appeared to showcase a potential design for the A525. The slip has ignited excitement and speculation across social media.

The Instagram Incident: A Peek Behind Closed Doors

The since-deleted video showed Briatore casually panning over a marketing meeting at Alpine HQ. Eagle-eyed fans noticed a table with images of a concept F1 car featuring Alpine’s signature pink and blue color scheme, tied to its longtime sponsor BWT. The clip was promptly shared on X (formerly Twitter), with a zoomed-in still image giving fans a closer look at what could be the new design.

The video’s deletion only added to the intrigue, leaving fans wondering if this was a genuine leak or an intentional tease ahead of the team’s official unveiling scheduled for January 18 at London’s O2 Arena.

A Tumultuous Year for Alpine

As Alpine gears up for the 2025 season, the team’s driver lineup is already making headlines. Rookie Jack Doohan is set to contest his first full season, replacing Esteban Ocon, who moved to Haas. Meanwhile, Pierre Gasly retains his seat, and Argentine sensation Franco Colapinto has joined as the team’s reserve driver. Colapinto’s arrival has sparked speculation about Doohan’s long-term future, with Alpine leaving the door open for mid-season changes.

Briatore, never one to mince words, recently made it clear in an interview with Le Parisien: “If there is a driver who is not making progress, who is not bringing results, he will be changed.” This candid statement has added pressure on the 21-year-old Australian, whose F1 debut in Abu Dhabi last year was a mixed bag.

Flavio Briatore’s F1 Renaissance

Briatore’s return to Formula 1 has been nothing short of dramatic. Once banned from the sport following the infamous 2008 “Crashgate” scandal, the Italian businessman was lured back by Renault CEO Luca de Meo to help transform Alpine into a competitive powerhouse. Since then, Briatore has played a pivotal role in reshaping the team, from driver decisions to strategic partnerships.

However, his no-nonsense approach has kept the paddock on its toes. Under his leadership, Alpine has pushed for aggressive changes, including the recruitment of Colapinto, who impressed during his brief stint with Williams last season. The stakes are high as Alpine aims to secure a stronger position in the Constructors’ Championship in 2025.

Fans React: Genuine Leak or Marketing Ploy?

The apparent livery leak has divided fans online. Some are convinced it was an unintentional blunder, while others believe it’s a clever marketing strategy to generate buzz. The visible design elements suggest Alpine will continue its iconic pink and blue theme, which has become synonymous with its partnership with BWT since 2022.
