Revealed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT), the new Denza Z9 GT will be produced by the joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz and is expected to arrive in Europe in 2025.
The images now revealed by “CarNewsChina” come after BYD requested market approval for the Denza Z9 GT, revealing the specifications of the 100% electric model and the first images of the production model.
Thus, it is already known that the Denza Z9 presents itself with a length of 5.18 meters, a width of 1.99 meters, and a height of 1.50 meters. The wheelbase is 3.12 meters, ensuring ample space for passengers.
As for the motorization, the data revealed by MIIT shows that the Denza Z9 GT is equipped with three electric motors, producing a combined power of 952 hp. This configuration includes a 308 hp motor at the front and two 322 hp motors at the rear, powered by LFP Blade batteries. The battery capacity was not disclosed. The maximum speed is limited to 240 km/h.
It should be noted that Denza is a former joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, equally owned by both brands until 2021, when the German manufacturer reduced its stake to just 10%. Since then, Denza has launched three new models: the D9 minivan and the N7 and N8 crossovers. The Z9 GT will be the fourth 100% electric model from the brand.
