Denza, the premium brand of the BYD Group, will be present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will take place starting this Thursday in the United Kingdom.
The Chinese brand, which is arriving in Europe, will take advantage of its presence in Goodwood to showcase the Z9GT and the D9 minivan. Following its European debut at Milan Design Week, Denza is now turning its attention to the well-known automotive event in the UK as a prelude to its commercial launch, to introduce its first models arriving in Europe.
The highlight will be the Z9 GT, an elegant grand tourer that features exclusive technologies for the segment, offering a 100% electric version and a plug-in hybrid version.
The fully electric Denza Z9 GT is equipped with three electric motors, producing a combined power of 965 hp and 1355 Nm of maximum torque. This configuration features a 308 hp motor at the front and two 322 hp motors at the rear, powered by LFP Blade batteries.
The hybrid plug-in variant will feature the services of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine combined with three electric motors and a 38.51 kWh battery, allowing for a power output of 858 hp and an electric range of up to 161 km.
“We are very pleased to introduce Denza to customers in the UK, and even more so to do so at the iconic Goodwood Festival. This is a brand that has always had its roots in European design in particular, and we are confident that British car enthusiasts will find inspiration in how Denza combines this influence with sophisticated technologies, the best craftsmanship, and, for the first time in this segment, a genuine focus on sustainable plug-in engines.“, said Stella Li, executive vice president of BYD.
