Denny Hamlin Exposes NASCAR’s Ruthless World of Penalties: “It’s a Do-or-Die Game”

NASCAR’s penalties are hitting hard, and Denny Hamlin is not holding back on his take. The Joe Gibbs Racing star is adamant that penalties should be black and white, no negotiation allowed. As the 2025 season progresses, penalties are piling up rapidly. From Erik Jones at Martinsville to Ryan Preece, Joey Logano at Talladega, and Chris Buescher at Kansas, no driver seems to be safe from the crackdown.

In an interview with Frontstretch.com, Denny Hamlin emphasized the importance of fairness, stating, “It certainly got to be fair for everyone. I had a race win taken away, so yeah, one for all, for sure. Whatever the infraction, whatever it says in the book is what the penalty should be level. It shouldn’t be negotiated up or down, or anything like that, just by the book.”

Hamlin also pointed out that the new NextGen car is a major factor behind the surge in infractions. According to him, teams are pushing the limits with the NextGen car, exploring every possible advantage in a risky game of evading detection.

As Denny Hamlin gears up for this year’s All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, the anticipation is high. Having secured victory in 2015, Hamlin is determined to claim his second All-Star title. Fans can catch the thrilling action live on Fox Sports 1 at 8 pm ET or tune in for radio updates on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Facing setbacks in recent races, Denny Hamlin’s luck seems to have taken a turn for the worse. After a fiery exit at Texas Motor Speedway, followed by a clutch issue at Kansas Speedway leading to consecutive DNFs, Hamlin is eager for redemption at the upcoming 66th Coca-Cola 600 on May 25.

Despite the setbacks, Hamlin remains resilient, aiming to bounce back stronger and reclaim his winning streak. Stay tuned for more adrenaline-pumping NASCAR action as Denny Hamlin navigates through the twists and turns of the 2025 season.
