Denny Hamlin fala sobre Bubba Wallace pedindo desculpas publicamente a Kyle Larson pelo incidente em Richmond.

Bubba Wallace demonstrated his sportsmanship by offering apologies to Kyle Larson during the race at Richmond. The NASCAR Cup Series event last Sunday in Richmond proved to be quite eventful. A notable moment was when Bubba Wallace, representing 23XI Racing, made Kyle Larson, from Hendrick Motorsports, spin out on lap 399. This incident led NASCAR to call a yellow flag and the race went into overtime.

Immediately after the race, Bubba Wallace wasted no time in approaching Kyle Larson to express his remorse. He approached the driver of the Chevy number 5 while Larson was giving a post-race interview and offered sincere apologies, emphasizing that he did not intend to cause the spin out. This apology gesture from Wallace, who is a driver for 23XI Racing, pleased the team co-owner.

It is important to note that Larson’s car losing control in the turn played a significant role in the spin out, so it was not entirely necessary for Wallace to take all the blame. As a team owner, Denny Hamlin can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that there will be no potential consequences they could have faced due to the incident. However, he is disappointed because a poor pit stop prevented the number 23 car from securing a spot in the top-10.

The driver who benefited the most from the incident and subsequent extra time was Denny Hamlin. The team of car number 11 executed the fastest pit stop during the cycle, allowing Hamlin to exit the pits ahead of Truex. Hamlin then strategically chose the inside lane during the restart and aggressively defended his position to secure his second win of the season at his home track. While Bubba Wallace’s actions pleased his team owner, his Toyota teammate expressed anger towards him in his post-race interview, criticizing him for the “foolish move.”

Bubba Wallace also had some bad luck as a result of the incident. He was consistently running in the top-10 for most of the race, but a small mistake made during the pit stop in the extra time, which he considers to be a form of karma, caused him to fall out of the top-10 during the restart. Unfortunately, he was unable to regain the lost positions.

Both TRD drivers have moved on from the incident and are now focused on bouncing back at Martinsville next weekend. They are expected to be strong contenders for the win in the race, as the Toyota track package is performing exceptionally well at the moment, and both drivers have had successful performances at Martinsville in the past.
