Denny Hamlin’s Bold Prediction: Will Chandler Smith Crush Kyle Larson’s Dominance and Make a Triumphant Return to Xfinity Series?

In a heart-stopping showdown at Bristol Motor Speedway, Chandler Smith emerged as the ultimate roadblock to Kyle Larson’s historic pursuit, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. The race marked Larson’s second shot at a weekend sweep, a feat only achieved by racing legend Kyle Busch. Despite Larson’s best efforts, it was Chandler Smith who stole the spotlight and dashed Larson’s dreams of victory.

Behind the wheel of the #07 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, Larson pushed through the field on fresher tires, aiming for a fairy-tale ending. However, it was Smith who refused to yield, delivering a flawless performance that left Larson in his dust. Larson admitted post-race, “Chandler just didn’t mess up. I kept hoping he would, but he just ran a perfect race.” The defeat was a tough pill to swallow for Larson, but he acknowledged Smith’s impeccable driving skills.

Denny Hamlin, a prominent figure in NASCAR, wasted no time in praising Smith for his stellar performance. On his Actions Detrimental podcast, Hamlin commended Smith for holding off Larson and securing the victory. Notably, Smith’s triumph not only thwarted Larson’s ambitions but also highlighted his own talent and determination.

Smith’s victory at Bristol was a testament to his unwavering skill and consistency on the track. Leading 127 of the 250 laps, Smith dominated the race, ultimately crossing the finish line ahead of Larson after a late caution. Hamlin remarked, “He defeated Larson just on speed and poise, not on strategy or good fortune. Against one of the world’s top drivers, that was a courageous display.”

As the racing community buzzes with speculation about Smith’s future, Hamlin emphasized the significance of his Truck Series win. Hamlin noted, “It builds confidence in yourself… when you can go against a Cup guy head-to-head and get the better end of it—it’s gonna look good on people’s feelings about you and your talent.” Smith’s journey in NASCAR has been tumultuous, with highs and lows shaping his career trajectory.

Despite his success in the Truck Series, Smith’s path to the Xfinity Series has been fraught with challenges. Hamlin acknowledged the obstacles that talented drivers like Smith face in securing top-tier Xfinity rides, where financial backing often plays a decisive role. The competitive landscape of the Xfinity Series has shifted towards sponsorships, leaving many skilled drivers sidelined due to financial constraints.

Smith’s victory over Larson serves as a beacon of hope for aspiring drivers, showcasing that raw talent can still triumph in a sport dominated by financial considerations. Hamlin’s endorsement of Smith’s potential in the Xfinity Series has sparked discussions about his future in NASCAR’s premier racing circuits. Will Smith make a triumphant return to the Xfinity Series in 2026? The answer remains shrouded in uncertainty, but one thing is clear—Smith’s victory at Bristol has reignited the debate about talent versus sponsorship in NASCAR.

As fans eagerly await Smith’s next move, the racing world braces for a potential shake-up that could see a rising star claim his rightful place among the elite drivers of NASCAR. Stay tuned as the saga of Chandler Smith’s meteoric rise continues to unfold, reshaping the landscape of professional racing with each twist and turn.
