Denny Hamlin afirma que William Byron foi o responsável pelo acidente de Ryan Blaney.

Denny Hamlin believes that William Byron is responsible for the incident in the second stage at Darlington. The defending champion had a strong performance in the first stage of the Goodyear 400, but his race took a turn when Byron made a miscalculated move during a three-wide battle, resulting in car No: 22 hitting the wall and being unable to finish the race.

Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin discussed the incident on his podcast and stated that William Byron is to blame for the crash. He argued that the maneuver made by the driver of Chevy No: 24 was intended to cause a crash. That’s why Ryan Blaney, who was involved in the incident, was extremely frustrated with Byron.

Before giving his verdict on the incident, Hamlin noted that the strategy used by Byron, who has won three races this season, has a very low success rate and a high likelihood of causing a crash. It was the responsibility of the Chevy driver to stay in the bottom lane and not force his way up the track.

According to Denny Hamlin, the Toyota Camry No: 11 also suffered significant damage as a result of the incident. He explained that his car made contact with the Ford, which had already made contact with Blaney’s car after hitting the wall.

While Hamlin was able to recover and finish in the top five, Blaney’s chances of a good result were ruined by the crash. Blaney promised to retaliate against Byron for the incident, so the Hendrick Motorsports driver will need to be cautious in future races.
