Daytona Truck Series Chaos: Parker Kligerman Wins, Then Loses in Stunning Post-Race Disqualification

Daytona International Speedway lived up to its wild reputation once again, delivering a Truck Series race packed with drama, heartbreak, and a shocking post-race twist that left the NASCAR world stunned. Superspeedway unpredictability combined with a series of crashes set the stage for a thrilling finish that saw Parker Kligerman capture the checkered flag—only to have victory ripped away moments later.

Wrecks, Spins, and a Battle to the Finish

The race kicked off with an early onslaught of cautions, as multiple drivers lost control on Daytona’s treacherous high banks. Whether it was lingering moisture from an earlier drizzle or just the brutal nature of pack racing, the wrecks came fast and hard.

  • Lap 4: Kaden Honeycutt spun in Turn 4, slamming the inside wall.
  • Mid-race: Toni Breidinger followed suit, spinning and crashing into the exact same barrier.
  • Lap 69: Clay Greenfield became the next victim, losing traction and veering into the wall, setting the stage for an intense final stretch.

Amid the carnage, Parker Kligerman emerged from the chaos as the opportunistic warrior, dodging crashes and making all the right moves in the closing laps. With the checkered flag in sight, he held off Corey Heim in a dramatic last-lap battle, crossing the line first under caution to claim what he called “the biggest victory of my entire life.”

From Triumph to Disaster: The Post-Race Bombshell

Just as Kligerman was soaking in his long-awaited moment—finally conquering Daytona after a previous best finish of fifth in 2022—NASCAR officials delivered a gut-wrenching announcement: His No. 75 Chevrolet Silverado had failed post-race inspection.

The verdict? Too low in the rear on both sides.

In an instant, his victory was stripped away, and Corey Heim was declared the official race winner.

Henderson Motorsports Fights Back

Kligerman and Henderson Motorsports aren’t going down without a fight. The team immediately announced its intention to appeal the disqualification, arguing that unforeseen circumstances may have led to the truck’s non-compliance. However, until the appeal is heard, the record books will show Heim as the winner, while Kligerman is left to wonder what might have been.

Daytona’s Unforgiving Legacy Continues

This race was another classic example of why Daytona International Speedway is one of the most unpredictable battlegrounds in motorsports. The superspeedway’s high speeds, razor-thin margins, and chaotic racing can deliver dreams—or rip them away in an instant.

For now, Corey Heim stands as the official victor, but the Kligerman saga is far from over. As NASCAR fans eagerly await the appeal’s outcome, one thing is certain—this Daytona Truck Series race will go down as one of the most controversial and unforgettable in recent memory.
